Odisha Postal Service Postman Exam Admit Card 2018
Odisha Postal Service Admit Card or Hall Ticket for Postman/Mail guard and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) cadre aptitude test or written test can be downloaded from the official website of www.odisha.postalcareers.in/orissapost.gov.in/ . The Odisha Postal Service has issued a notification to fill vacancies in the department, earlier the written exam was postponed to be held. Exam for the Postman and MTS cadre will be held on 14th December only, in the morning session for Postman cadre and in the evening session for MTS cadre. Candidates who have applied for the above can download the admit card and carry it to the exam center. The competition for the exam will be high, as there are lot of applications for available posts, so candidates can go through the syllabus and exam pattern. Odisha Postal Service recruitment notification was issued earlier in 2018. Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to attend the exam. This central government posts with minimum eligibility made the competition even more difficult with lot of applications received. Syllabus for Postman and Mail Guard written Exam:
Part A (General knowledge): Geography, Indian History, Freedom struggle, Culture and Sports, General Polity and Constitution of India, Economics, General science, Current affairs and Reasoning & Analytical ability of tenth standard.
Part B (Mathematics) : Number systems, Computation of whole numbers, Decimals and fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and loss, Simple interest, Average , Discount, Partnership, Time & work, Time & distance , Use of tables and graphs, Mensruration.
Part C (I) (English): Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Verbs, Synonyms & Antonyms, Vocabulary, Sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases, question from a small unseen passage etc.
Part C (II) (Regional Language-Odia): Shabda Pada, Kriya Bheda, Mishra o Sanyukta Vakya, Vakya rupantara, Swara Sandhi, Alankara, Samasa, Rudhi o Lokabani, Ashuddha Vakyara Shuddharupa, Padhinathiba Gandyansha.
Exam pattern for Postman/Mail Guard and MTS:
- The written examination will be of objective type with multiple choice questions.
- The question paper is divided into 4 parts Part A, Part B, Part C (I) & Part C (II).

Duration: 2 hours
